When Melanie suffers an accident on her honeymoon and wakes up with amnesia, the last thing she expects is to find a hunky man in her bed. A man who swears is her husband, but she's not buying it. Armed with pepper spray and a kitchen knife, Melanie sets out across Nantucket, escaping her imposter husband and trying to find her way home.
Adam has no idea what he's going to do. He can't leave Melanie to wander alone, and even if she doesn't remember that she loves him, he promises to stand by her side. Through a series of hilarious mishaps and amnesia-induced adventures, Melanie and Adam stumble their way toward falling in love ...for the second time. Maybe this time, Melanie won't forget. 💞
Previously part of the My Funny Valentine collection.
★★★★★ Reviews
"I really liked this book! It's everything The Vow (movie) wasn't. It was funny and silly, yet heavy with emotion. It has you rooting for love all the way to the end. Clean and no cussing. It works as a standalone, but if you've read the Nantucket series, it's good to see old friends from that series."
"It was so touching, yet laugh out loud funny, as Adam and Melanie navigate the results of a honeymoon accident. The author brings in the loving Jones family from her Cousins of Nantucket series to help this couple. It is a Feel-good, enjoyable, stand-alone read!"
If you love romantic comedies with all the feels, this is the one for you.
In some parts the vocabulary and sentence structure seems well developed but in other areas the vocabulary and sentences seem written by a young teenager. The inconsistent writing structure creates inconsistent character development. A character will have really deep thoughts with mature vocabulary and then in the next sentence or paragraph is talking like a kid in Jr high. It also felt like there were gaps in the story line. I wanted to know how it ended & thought the plot was unique, so I kept listening, but probably wouldn't recommend to others.
Okay book
