My name is Toni, and I’m a thief. My life has had a few twists and turns lately that younger me never would have thought possible. Not only did I somehow survive to adulthood and find career that I can excel at, but I met a dragon spirit named Amethyst and a hot nerdy boyfriend named Ben. We’re a family and even have a new baby.

But I’m still a thief and now my dragon and I work for a guy who is gathering dragon spirits in order to prevent them from being used to end the world. I’m still not completely sure if he’s a good guy or not, but doesn’t everyone have doubts about their boss?

Sometimes I think about how nice it would be to settle down with Ben and our baby and pretend to be a normal family. Not that it’s even remotely possible for us to have anything so wonderfully boring. And even if it was possible, do I deserve that kind of happiness?
