Great book

If you are expecting a boring histoy lesson this is definitely not the book! It will uncover hidden history that you had no idea that it happened! I am actually glad that I gave this book a try, since it expanded my knowledge!

This book shines a light on the stories that usually get left out; people, events, and moments that really shaped America but don’t always make the headlines. It’s easy to read and surprisingly eye-opening. If you love history or just want a fresh take on it, this is a great place to start.

Made History Feel Personal and Alive

This book showed parts of American history I never learned in school. It focused on real stories—some surprising, some sad, and some inspiring. The way it was told made everything feel clear and real, not boring or hard to follow. I felt like I was learning things that actually matter.

I found myself quickly lost in this book. It was one of those books where I would think - "just one more chapter." You will learn about things you have never heard of and will probably find yourself surprised. I worried this book might be a bore, but not at all. It is very engaging! Highly recommended!

I’ve always found history a bit dry, but this one pulled me in with stories I’d never heard before. It’s not your usual textbook stuff, more like uncovering hidden chapters that make you rethink what you thought you knew. Better than my history class, honestly

History lessons put me to sleep in school, so figured giving this audiobook a try couldn’t be bad. And thank goodness! Had nutty stories I’d never heard about that weren’t even mentioned in any of my history books, from kooky emperors to strange floods. Come on, is it even possible that this much history is omitted? The reader had a relaxed feel as well, easy listening while running errands. Decent selection if you enjoy the odd bits of legit knowledge without feeling like you’re doing homework.
