Riley Tanner has a best friend, the best friend a girl could ask for. He's supportive, loyal, honest, trustworthy, kind, and thoughtful. He's also the biggest player in school. Their relationship has always been easy and affectionate, but after Riley's month long vacation, things become a little strange. She starts to look at him in ways that go way beyond the 'friend zone'. Add in her best friend's rival, and things become a whole lot more complicated.

What did you like best about this story?

A love story of two best friends who grew up together !! Clay sounds like the most handsome boy who is soo sweet to Riley his best friend and the girl he is so obviously in love with to everyone but her. They have some ups and downs along the way but what's a great love story without the good and the bad times. I love Clay and Riley from both of their point of views and I'm telling you this is such a sweet story. Andrea did a great job with the narration.

Would you consider the audio edition of Always You to be better than the print version?

That's hard to answer since I haven't read the paperback edition.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Riley. She's a real interesting character.

Which character – as performed by Andrea Emmes – was your favorite?

Again Riley.

Any additional comments?

A fantastic audio book.

I really enjoyed Riley and Clay's story. They were both very young but their love was real~something many do not find in an entire lifetime. Although the book is categorized as YA (which I am not), anyone who had a first true love in high school will relate to the problems and emotions of this young couple. The parents of both, in my opinion, were too permissive but I liked them~particularly the mothers who stood strong for their children when necessary. The narration was great and the ending was just perfect....

What did you like best about this story?

The "innocence" of the characters coming into their love.

Have you listened to any of Andrea Emmes’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. I really enjoyed how the narrator is able to make the characters feel alive and "real". There was a lot of personality and emotion with these characters that I think really moved the story along. Especially when the main character was going through heartache.

Would you listen to Always You again? Why?

No, I don't usually listen to books a second time.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Always You?

The part after the 'fight' and the moments in the hospital. Although I think that the parent-children relationship was a little too fictional, I don't think there is a possible way to persuade someone that his parents don't love him enough and are selfish for a decision like that.

Have you listened to any of Andrea Emmes’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, I haven't but I really liked her voice very much.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I couldn't if I tried because it is a 15 hour book, but after the second half it was way more interesting and I've listened to most of it in almost two sittings.

Any additional comments?

I received this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts opinions and ratings are my own. I was under no obligation to post a review or give positive feedback.

Thank you very much Kirsty Moseley and of course Andrea Emmesh for this book.

OMG, I loved this book! This is a beautiful love story about two best friends who grew up together and were always destined to be together!

Riley Tanner and Clay Preston grew up next door to each other and were always best friends. Clay always knew she was the one, his Riley Bear. Riley was the last one to realize they had feelings. Before they were a couple, they dated others. Riley had dated Blake. There was just something not right with Blake and his hot temper, so after 2 dates with Blake , Riley said no more and decided she was in love with Clay.

Read along to see how this story plays out. Have tissues on hand. Together Riley and Clay experience more turmoil than any couple should. We get to experience, love, danger, suspense, love of family, friends and each other.

This story had me on the edge of my seat. Fantastic plot written by Author Kirsty Moseley. She had me on the edge of my seat, in tears and laughing at times too! This is a really long book and definitely more than our moneys worth! I loved every minute of it!!! The narrator, Andrea Emmes did a really great job delivering this story to us flawlessly! With her multiple voices and accents (I loved David's English accent). Highly entertaining and believable! This story was so good, I didn't want it to ever end!!!

A beautiful love story!

This wasn't my normal genre and in all honesty it was way too long for this genre. Of not for the narrator and her talents then I may would've stopped because the length just didn't suite the story. But don't get me wrong because author Kirsty Moseley created a great story and I do love bad boys. The story was filled with drama, amazing characters, and romance. This was the first story that I've listened to by this author. I must say the story was well written but I do want to offer some advice to the author and she can use it or not in the future that's totally up to her. I think when writing this type of story the length should be anywhere from 4 to 9 hours tops. This story would've received better reviews if the story wasn't soo long, honestly.

Andrea Emmes, I must say thank you for getting me through this story. It was a good story but way too long and I feel sorry for the long hours it had to have taken for you to have finished narrating the story. You did an amazing job with your telling of this story. I didn't have any trouble identifying the characters. You kept me listening to the story even when I wanted to quit so thank you for that. The story is worth the listen if you take the time and have the time to listen. I've listened to stories that are alot longer but because of it being a different genre it worked. I received this audio from the author/narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.

Would you listen to Always You again? Why?

I don't normally listen to an audiobook more than once, especially one this long, but I enjoyed it and was glad that I got it.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Riley, the main character, was really cute, albeit a bit naive. But hey, she's 16! She went through an emotional journey that was fun to listen to.

Which character – as performed by Andrea Emmes – was your favorite?

Riley, because I could hear in the narrator's performance how Riley was "feeling" through the emotion portrayed in the performance. Yes, Riley seems a bit "blind and naive" at times and you want to strangle her sometimes for not seeing what's right in front of her, but it reminds me that that is how teenagers really react/feel in new situations, especially dealing with emotions and love.

Any additional comments?

The romance scenes seemed a little be "too adult" for a young adult book.

I always go back to Kirsty Moseley when I want a sweet short romantic read. I won’t say her books are perfect or amazing, but they’re perfect for me for an in between read.
