Raven has everything important to her: career and money. The decisions she made are purposeful and calculated, leaving no wiggle room for regret to seep in.
As the head of the consulting team, she called the shots of who stayed hospitalized and who had to move to other facilities, pretty much a call of life or death. The financial benefits were tremendous, and Raven justified each when morality and ethics were questioned until that is, a disabled Ruby was admitted, and Raven had to deal with her brother, Clark, who refused to have his sister moved to a long-term facility.
More than the challenge to her authority, Raven’s past and brain tumor crept in to rattle her otherwise self-assured and smug existence.
