Exceptional story, beautifully written

I have listened to over 100 audiobooks with a WW2 setting.

This one of the most beautifully written stories I have come across.

Did not keep this book

I tried to get interested in this story but just could not get connected top any of the characters. I live the WWII era and was disappointed that I could not get past the first 3 hours. I tried.
