There have been too many reconnaissance candidates that show up to the course clueless on what Recon is all about. They show up to the Basic Reconnaissance Course and say that they didn’t know they had to swim or didn’t know it would be so physically difficult. This is Marine Recon! There are a lot of resources, including this one, that will give someone at least a taste of what this life is all about. None are as thorough or informational as a book written by a prior Recon Instructor. The Basic Reconnaissance Course is one of the most difficult schools the United States Military has to offer. It is designed to make some of the most elite warriors of the modern era. By reading this book as a hopeful Recon candidate or Marine, the Reconnaissance community can now expect to have a more physically and mentally prepared student of the course. One that can take the knowledge learned from this book to be successful in graduating the Basic Reconnaissance Course. Very Informative, AI sucks

I listened to this because I was just curious. It gives great ideas if you're trying to improve your self discipline or physical fitness. I actually found myself taking notes. I hope young people find this inspiring. We need quality leaders and people with high aspirations. Although few will be able to handle what is described in this book. Also present in this audiobook was a huge missed opportunity to hire a veteran Marine to narrate this. You cannot get away with saying "shit talk" or "blow shit up" in a computer voice. Find a veteran in desperate need of financial support. They're owed so much and will understand the content.

Short, yet highly informative read. Thank you to the Author for gifting the Marine community with an excellent resource made thats clearly written from experience and sacrifice.

Great read. My son is trying for recon, this book allows me to understand what he is about to take on, and help him along his journey.
