Terrific twists and turns, and clever plot. Great narrator

Love M.K. Jones and this new series doesn’t disappoint. A lot of characters which the narrator Christine Rendel handles really well. Lovely narration. Couldn’t stop listening, and looking forward to the next book in this mystery series.

Loved this cozy mystery in Seaside Cornwall

Belle Harrington, a new arrival in the seaside town of St. Foy, stumbles on the Curiosity Club of St. Foy - a small group of women who come together regularly to investigate unusual events in their town. Belle has just been to her school reunion where she learned that a group of mean-girl bullies from her student days have been dying or disappearing - one every 5 years since they graduated. The Curiosity Club agrees to help Belle sort out whether there's a "case" there or not and what might be done about it. The set-up is reminiscent of the Thursday Murder Club with characters that are each uniquely drawn and a complex plot with surprises along the way. Christine Rendel, my all-time favorite narrator continues to blow my mind by creating a different voice, accent, and personality for each character. Once again she has given depth to a smart, thoughtful woman in mid-life, who must question everything she has believed till now and to learn whom she can trust as she tries to get to the bottom of the story.
