Bringing you into her life as if you are an old friend, the author unwinds her tale in a delightful way, that captivates and illuminates the life of a warrior. I relate to her emotional struggles to find her place and make a difference helping others. You will cry and laugh, cringe and cheer for her.

A unique life filled with serendipity

I enjoyed this book and savored the sometimes intense events that Laurie shares with her listeners. I think many will see themselves in "little L" as we hear Laurie's account of her early beginnings. Feelings of sadness, loneliness, anger and self doubt can be reversed if we allow ourselves to feel and never give up. A great title with narration that was pleasant to listen to.

A Soul's Journey

A courageous story of self discovery, incredible strength and curiosity of spirit. The characters were brought to life in the voice of this author -- she was mesmerizing. The story was told with such honesty and vulnerability that I was immersed in its every word--I couldn't stop listening. The magic of the story lingers with me -- this story will be with me a long time.
