mixed feelings on this one

good mystery book...but too much sex for my taste..it otherwise was a good storyline with lots of intrigue and investigation that had lots of twists and heartstopping points..you wonder if the bad guys will win and kill the women or if it is possible someone will rescue them.

Gun Parlor

That's what you get when an ex-cop meets a pup parlor Miss. Nick Brodie has just quit the police force in Alaska and gone to Las Vegas for a little down time before looking for a new job, when he steps in a saves Samantha from a pushy drunk in a hotel hallway.
With instant chemistry, they enjoy the weekend together among the excitement of the Las Vegas strip, each going their separate ways after the weekend. That isn't the end though, to their sexy weekend.
There are many surprises in store for them in the coming weeks including a trip to Alaska for Sam with gunfire and mayhem and the Russian Mob.
I loved it. The sexy scene in Las Vegas was so hot and sigh worthy. Can't wait to read another of Kat Martin's books.

This is good story but the publisher summery is for the against the heart book of the same author. I was surprised

This is the story that got me hooked on Brodies

I read this one (out of order) and it was so good, I made a commitment to the series. GREAT HERO! Strong heroine who decided what she would do in her life taking into account how her actions would impact others.

Nick Brodie is a man of a thousand hats and talents. A weekend getaway in Vegas leads him into the arms of a beautiful woman, which opens his heart to trouble.

Samantha is a hardworking, smart and beautiful talented woman. Her weekend in Vegas, meeting Nick and the adventure to come for the both of them was a wild ride.

A visit to Alaska puts Samantha in the middle of some serious trouble. Nick’s got a kid in trouble, one who is a friend, neighbor and the type to not cause trouble. When the investigation gets hot, bullets start fly and... thing go from crazy to insane.

It’s up to Nick and his friends to save the innocent ones and bring down the corrupt a-holes trying to make all of their lives miserable.

Good read

Kat Martin does it again. She write great women into her stories. No whinny crybabies for her. I truly enjoyed the read.

Another amazing adventurous heartwarming story. Great series

What can I say this author never disappoints. This is the second book in the series and I just simply loved it. There wasn’t anything I did not like about it. The author is great her ideas and her storyline are awesome and I love how it is set in Alaska.

They have a total different book described about this book. The book Against the Sky is about Nick Brodie and Samantha the description on aubible says it's about Ian Brodie and Meriwether Jones. So before you download you might want to wait until you know what the name is for the description of Ian Brodie and Meriwether Jones. To read what Against the sky is about you can go to Amazon and read it. I really wanted to listen to Ian Brodie's story.

So boring

I skipped so many chapters. I fell asleep listening many times. It was also annoying. I kept repeating the obnoxious sexist phrases out loud to my daughter just so we could both roll our eyes together. The H is an ass. The h was pretty much lacking any personality at all. Won’t be bothering with this author again.
