A scifi of rare quality
Rare is the science fiction series that keeps you fully engaged, that engaged me with story and character development that just happens to be in a future full of new problems from technology that has not yet been invented and human flaws that may never be overcome.
This series ended with me crying happy tears. As we sang so many heroic characters home. And said goodbye to a series that got me through many challenging work days.
Graphic Audio productions are my gold standard and now that audible has picked them up I don’t get many titles that are not graphic audio.

As good as it was it would be better if it was an unabridged version. I'd say 96% roughly of the book is here. But, all of it would be better.

Space Opera? Maybe. Great story? Definitely!
The Serrano Legacy is a great read/listen through and through. It’s story line is superior to most literature. It would make a great TV series so long as the powers that be don’t ruin it like they ruined the last episode of Game of Thrones by forcing today’s PC-flavor into the story line. Elizabeth Moon created story with a large number of great strong heroines, salted with a few great strong heroes. Apply the “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” rule to stories and movies.
