Acts is a book of action. But whose actions does it follow? The most obvious answer is the Apostles’. The book’s full name is the Acts of the Apostles, for it recounts their efforts to take the gospel to the nations. Yet we can also think of it as the Acts of the Holy Spirit. Poured out like a mighty rushing wind (Acts 2:2), the Spirit empowered the Apostles’ witness and opened hearts to believe. In this volume, Dr. R.C. Sproul offers an in-depth study on the Spirit’s work through these Christians and in the growth and spread of the early church.

Dr. Sproul’s expositional commentaries help you understand key theological themes and apply them to all areas of your life. Drawn from decades of careful study and delivered from a pastor’s heart, these sermons are readable, practical, and thoroughly Bible-centered. Here is your opportunity to learn from a trusted teacher and theologian as he leads you through God’s Word and shares his perspective on living faithfully for God’s glory. This is a series to serve pastors, small groups, and growing Christians who want to know the Bible better.

This helped my understanding of Acts and I am excited to listen to more of RC’s breakdowns.

Very easy to listen to

I'm not getting full points on this because his farming analogy as well as his comment with Karl Marx although I understand what he's saying he's not entirely accurate especially in the modern day contexts Karl Marx was an idiot and American farmers aren't better just because we have better tools we are smarter and all those other things that we listed where did those John Deere tractors come from they came from intelligence farming is not a one person group someone had to come up with the idea to improve these tools as well as coming up with a different better ways to do agriculture if you get a farmer with a generic education and I do mean generic He's going to be a shit farmer and he's going to end up wondering why is the quality of my soil so poor because he didn't come up with crop rotation to say that the only difference between American farmers and some farmers in Africa is tools is grossly oversimplificating the issue and to also suggest the ones that have the tools have the power is also a very gross over simplification of the topic I don't need tools to grow vegetables for myself I may need tools and good tools to feed a country but I'm not obligated to feed a country I'm only obligated to feed myself and my family and even that becomes iffy after a few branches away from my family so like I said I understand what he's saying when he's using the farming analogy but it is a doing a disservice to what he's trying to say as well to farmers because American farmers are smart they're driven and yes they have better tools but they get good yield more times than not due to the fact that they're not on educated and Karl Marx was a pampered sheltered lazy bum that tributed nothing in any way positive to this world he ruined himself and his wife and his children their fate was due to his gross negligence in every sense of that word The bum even went back to his home country while his family was living in the UK big money got it instead of going back home to pay off He spent it all on himself causing the debtors to take the last of his earthly possessions and ruining his family the rest of the way The man was a selfish self entitled narcissist that understood very little if you can truly say he understood anything at all if by chance he was informative on anything it was by sheer blind luck possibly he wasn't too for the devil to create something so evil

good 👍🏼

I loved the details of the era in which the story was told. The tone of the narrator was very pleasant to listen to.

Excellent
