In this audiobook, we are going to look at how soil is created, its constituents–of which surprisingly many are very much alive–how soil affects plants, and which plants grow best where. We’ll also learn how to create your own compost, deal with soil deficiencies, and how to find out which soil type you have in your garden.

To make a thorough job of this, we’ll visit the homes of the Soil family, who’ll guide us through soil’s intricacies, and we’ll meet the members of the Soil family: Sandy, Clay, Chalky, and Acid Soil, who will each give us the lowdown on their specialist soil type.
