A modern English translation of the Aramaic New Testament with Psalms and Proverbs. This novel is written for the reader who would like to read the scriptures without verse numbers breaking into one’s thoughts as they read.
Also, at the beginning of each Book I have added notes to aid in understanding its contents, for those unfamiliar, and in the Psalms, I’ve included also the Apocryphal Psalms (151 to 155) although they were not in the original text.
Proverbs also includes Proverbs 32, not found in the Bible but useful nonetheless.
Each chapter has a heading but no verse numbers. For example:
____
Psalm 1
Way of the Righteous and Wicked
Blessed is the one who walks not in the way of the evil and does not stand in the counsel of sinners and does not sit on the seat of mockers. But his pleasure is in the Law of Lord Jehovah and in his Law, he will meditate day and night.
_____
The idea was to make it an easier for those who want to just read the words in the New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs like they would a novel.
Aramaic was the native language of Yeshu'a and of Israel in the 1st century AD. The Peshitta Old Testament was likely translated from the Hebrew Bible in the 1st century AD in Israel by Christian converts from Judaism, or Syrians.
I hope you enjoy reading the Bible this way and thank you also for a review on Amazon or Goodreads etc.
