In a land bathed by sunlight and the beating of drums, lived two men. One was called Nothing; the other Ananse. Nothing was generous and wealthy; Ananse was cunning and a little greedy. Nothing dressed as in a velvet gown; Ananse dressed in a simple cotton tunic that had been mended many times. During the journey, Ananse begged to exchange his worn-out clothing for his friend's royal garment but refused to give it back until they reached the town. There, the women thinking Ananse was wealthy, flocked to him. It was a wise woman who took pity on Nothing and gave him her daughter. When they left the town with their wives, and arrived in their village, the wives of Ananse were surprised, disappointed and decide to leave him. What happens then?
