Simply put, there’s no audience that will benefit from this book. While a logical argument for why may seem appropriate for a book on the subject of fallacies, it’ll be too tiresome and futile an effort to write. The book lacks real world application due to the author belittling the use of wisdom, discernment, credibility, and experience as being beneficial and necessary for making real decisions. Therefore, if the book seeks to be a mere academic study, it still fails to teach the subject. Many examples in the book use assumptions outside the argument to validate that the statement being asserted contains a fallacy. And there are many other errors and poor choices of the author. It seems apparent that the author lacks subject matter expertise. A demonstration of a misapplied example was the author stating that women aren’t paid the same as men simply because they are women and that any assertion to the contrary is an apparent fallacy, even though an assertion to the contrary may potentially be supported by more credible evidence. The author goes so far as to claim that those who’ve overcome adversity due to factors outside their control should be admired more for that. Does that statement contain a logical fallacy? You would never know from listening to this book. There are so many poor examples and descriptions of fallacies used by the author that there is no knowledge to be gained from listening to this book. This was far too much feedback for a book that’s lacking any benefit when there’s so many better books on the subject out there. Good luck.
