Resumen del Editor

Jayne was mid-40s when she experienced the worst and the best times of her life.

She fell in love, so desperately in love.

She lost everything overnight.

No matter how bad life gets, how far down that dark tunnel you are, there is always a glimmer of hope.

From her dream house in Kent, via the "nuthouse", and eventually to a cottage in Cornwall, Jayne takes a journey that is to wound, to destroy, and eventually heal her.

This is a story of one woman’s quest to find herself and learn to love herself again.

Is this a story about affairs? No. It's about depression and loss, love, and laughter. Tracie Podger opens her heart and bares her soul in this inspirational story based on a real event. This is a story about women to women.

Contemporary Romance for listeners over the age of 18.

mixed feelings

by the time I finished the book I thought it was good. However, it dragged a it with the daily back and forth emails . I don't think the constant fuck added to the story. otherwise, it is excellent. Depression is a disease many of us deal with and unfortunately there is a stigma. I admire the author for addressing this.

Love always

This book is my go to when I’m sad. Why? Well listening to someone kick depression’s arse is helpful. I love this storyline and highs and lows. The narrator does a great job of conveying the writer’s feelings.

Depression is REAL

I couldn’t love this book more! The author does a great job talking about harsh subjects! The love story is AMAZING but the depression part will help a ton of people! I wish I could give this book 10 stars!! It’s a must read/listen.

A Beautiful Heartfelt Story! Great Narration🎧

OMG, this story is everything, it is gripping and moving like no other. It is the type of book that stays with you for a really long time, maybe even forever. Tracie Podger is a gifted author, you could feel how much heart and raw emotion she put into this beautifully written story. The characters and storylines are realistic and easy to relate to. I adored Jayne, the lead character, I loved her best friend, Carla, too, we all need a friend like her, someone who has your back no matter what. Jayne went thru and put up with so much in her marriage, some may question why did she stay, but many will know why she did and this story is not about that it is about her serving and getting thru the worst times in her life and coming out on top. I despised her husband Michael, I was not a fan of her daughter for most of the story either. Stefan, oh yes I was a fan of him and was rooting for him from the get go but this story shows you life always throws a curve ball your way some time. My heart broke for Jayne and I totally got her despair and depression, the author does a great job keeping it all real. Tracie Podger, thank you for this beautiful story, and for sharing Jayne’s journey, it was gut wrenching at times, not an easy journey but it shows hope and that help is available. BTW, I loved the ending! 🎧📚🎧

I listened to the Audible edition, Kitty Kelly is a talented narrator and voice artist. She brings the characters to life, gives each their own voice and personality as well as heart and attitude. She did a great job portraying the characters, she perfected Jayne’s role, capturing all her emotions emotions and projecting them into her performance, she did the same for all the character, including Stefan handling his role with English as his second language. Ms. Kelly is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen t. Thank you for the great listen🎧
