Acerca de esta escucha
This book is the final installment of the trilogy: The Conquest of Grellbain. After joining sides with his enemy, Timar finds himself struggling between loyalty to his friends and his desire to follow his darker instincts. Meanwhile, Vengru strengthens his hand and finally marches on the great city of Grellbain. It is at the gates of Grellbain that the outcome of this epic adventure will be decided. Lives will be lost, ties broken, and ultimately the fate of the known world will be decided as all forces converge in one final battle. Will Grellbain be able to hold Vengru's soldiers at bay or does its own corruption run too deep? Will Timar and his friends survive this last stand or will the cost be too much to bear? All will be revealed in the final minutes of this heart-wrenching adventure.

Page-turning adventure!
I really loved how the author laid out the timelines of the different characters. It kept me on my toes and trying to guess what was going on before it was revealed (I love solving a good mystery).
The characters were all relatable and it didn’t feel like the decisions they made were unrealistic. There were multiple times while reading the series something would happen to the characters and I would feel it personally, whether positive or negative, and that is always a good sign to me that the characters make choices that are true to real life. I really appreciated that not everything falls into place for the hero and that the hero isn’t perfect at everything immediately and never makes mistakes.
As you go through the series, you can definitely tell the author got more confident and experienced in writing the dialogue between characters as it improves. Each book was better than the next.
The world building was detailed enough that I could picture everything clearly in my head, but not so detailed that it was info-dumpy. Thanks to this book series. I now want to go live in the treetops.
