Floin and Ruvia just wanted a vacation. After all, they'd just helped elect a new king for the squirrels and thwarted the murderous ambitions of an arrogant clan. Was it too much to ask for some time off after that? But sadly, duty calls.
Mysterious forgeries of ancient rabbit and mice relics have begun to flood the antiquities market, not to mention vast amounts of gold and other precious metals and jewels that seemingly have no origin, and Floin and Ruvia are hired to discover the truth behind these items before Flores' economy crashes.
As the two squirrels investigate, they discover a web of lies, missing Thinkers, and rumors about haunted ruins, all while an enemy from Floin's past attempts to ruin their plans.
