I love the easy to understand theology of biblical counseling. I will use this for years to come.

Deep and Rich in Theology

I appreciate the deep Biblical teaching that happens in this book. This is way more than just a resource for those interested in biblical counseling, it is very helpful for anyone serving alongside people in the church.

Helpful

This book has value for anyone who wants to be a biblical counselor. Though, you should go in knowing that it's from a protestant and calvinist perspective and so contains a lot of error and heterodox theology. I still think people who want to be counselors should read it once, but take in the meat and spit out the bones

Informative and hopeful

This book was an option on a list of required reading for ACBC and I thoroughly enjoyed it it was very informative, encouraging, riddled with hope in the sufficiency of the Scriptures. It was helpful in delineating the differences in Biblical and Christian counseling l, which I appreciated greatly. I’m coming from secular therapy as a Christian and was convicted in the way that I was guilty of “integrating” my faith with “other things”, believing that was sufficient and pleasing to the Lord. Grateful for God’s grace to show me the difference.

I enjoyed this book. It is clear in its advice and has many Bible verses to refer to. I learned a lot about proper biblical counseling that will help in the future. A great resource for anyone beginning in Biblical counseling.
