A Tenderness of Soul is Jack Random's eighth book of poetry and the fourth that addresses life, philosophy, the arts and other concerns on planet earth in the twenty-first century. These poems were written between May 2022 and July 2023.

Like its predecessors (Life Songs, Lost in Her Soul, and Life, Art and Other Songs), these poems were written with a general audience in mind. We are all members of the human race. We all feel human emotions. We appreciate grace and beauty. We despise cruelty. We have our own families and friends. We have dreams. There is far more that brings us together than that which tears us apart.

It is my hope that those who read these poems will find them engaging and inspiring. Some may bring comfort to the soul. Others may disturb and trigger darker emotions.
