This book is based on the author’s years of experience teaching at all school levels from infants to university students. It is funny, and packed with anecdotes but underlining it all is the very serious theme of exam technique. A very high percentage of students, though knowing their subject in depth, fail to score high marks in exams, this is nearly always because of bad exam technique and this, the book attempts to put right. The author gained his Ph.D. by submitting a 100,000 word thesis researching into this problem and is an acknowledged expert at getting difficult students through exams.
The book is strongly humorous, and can be read just for entertainment, but its appeal must surely be to anyone and everyone who has ever taken an exam. The book is split up into chapters, which cover the different exam techniques: Question paper analysis, prediction, specialisation etc., before going on to discuss specific problem subjects such as Mathematics and Science. It finishes in a very light-hearted way by telling the reader of different ways of leaving an exam room.
The book in no way aims to subvert the examiners, nor does it condone cheating in any form, what it does do is to equip students with the most effective tools for exam success.
