Miranda walked on the pretty flowery cobble stone path. Bryan motioned for her to sit on the large porch swing amidst all the beautiful flowers surrounding them. She strolled over to the porch swing and sat on the opposite end of the chair. Bryan smirked and patted the cushion next to him. “Come, sit next to me.”
Miranda giggled like a little schoolgirl. She scooted right next to him. The heat between them was electrifying.
He slowly and gently pushed the swing back and forth as he talked about the weather. Bryan confidently put his arm around her, “It sure is a beautiful day today.”
Miranda blushed, “Yes, it is.”
“The day is looking up. It feels like it’s going to be a hot one!” He looked at Miranda. “You sure are beautiful, Ms. Sunshine.”
She smiled and blushed again, “Thank you.”
“You are my sunshine. Every day you walk by and say hi to an old fart like me, and you brighten my day.”
Miranda laughed, “An old fart, hah?”
Bryan snickered, “Yep.”
“You have a beautiful garden here. I love gardening too. I wish mine had as many blooms as yours does. Mine are beautiful, but you really have a green thumb. The vibrant reds, orange, yellow, pinks, and purples are incredible.”
“Thank you,” he said as his chest puffed up. He pointed, “Look over there! The cardinals are feeding on my bird feeder. It looks like they are a pair. The male is singing to the female. What a pretty song he is singing to her.” He stared at Miranda. “Can I sing to you?”
