Peter joined the British troops after his family was killed by the Zeppelins. Crippled by mutilating wounds, Peter struggles to find the purpose of his new life in America. Charyl won't leave him in peace, insisting that he can still live a full life. He refuses to believeit and she seems to bring out the best and the worst in him.
