Indeed, Dr. Manques had been right. What a waste of time. Feel it? Feel the fish? Whatever for? Alright, alright if you insist. Don't argue, he would just feel the scales and then go home. Yes, I feel it, scale, scale, scale, scale, skin. What? Do it again. Scale, scale, scale, scale, skin. And Dr. Manques was now alert, because what fish had both scales and skin, or what marine mammal had both skin and scales. What had they just found?

I loved how the story seemed to grow organically, and the details of life in Venus made it credible and believable.

In his novel A Sea Tail Marvin Brauer explores the intersection of myth and daily life. How would we react to a realistic encounter with a leprechaun or bigfoot? Dr. Manques is a very average American living in Venice who meets a mermaid. This myth-shattering experience is shaped by a cast of interesting characters. One of those characters is the canal city itself. This is a great read with food for thought.

Enjoyed the narrator, could tell characters by the voices

Enjoyable story, easy listen. It was a different take on the mermaid tale, weaving ancient lore into a modern setting.

Amazing Story

This novela was an amazing read. It is a nice mix between fiction and non fiction. The storyline was very well organized, and the supporting facts were very well researched. I feel like after reading this, I got to visit all the special places in Venice that normally tourists aren’t privy to. Overall, a very special story and a captivating read.
