The practice of walking the Via Dolorosa began with pilgrims to the Holy Land in Jerusalem during the Crusades and was brought back to the local parish churches by those pilgrims and crusaders. St. Alphonsus Liguouri authored a standard form in the 1700s that continues to be used in parishes today.

At times tearful when you can face the gravity of Jesus's death on the cross. The narrator is really helpful in bringing out the deeper nuances of the crucifixion. God Bless.

Scriptural way of the cross
I added the scriptural way of the cross to my daily devotions. I down loaded it to my phone,and I can have this devotion while traveling or if I do not need to drive I add it to my daily petitions. Love it and the insight it adds!
