“What are you speaking about this morning?” Crystal leaned in and asked. We were in Southern California, having been invited to release whatever we felt the Father’s heart was for this church.

"There is something about resonance that Dad is speaking over our world,” came my reply. That was 2021, not long after the COVID sanctions had been lifted. That morning at Embrace Church in Oxnard, he opened the door for the following three years to focus on his resonance, which ultimately led to a forty-day prayer vigil for our hometown and region.

The resonance of God, what is it, and how can this lead to times of prayer for our city, county, and region? Let me start with the definition of resonance: a vibration of large amplitude…caused by a relatively small…stimulus… Resonance in the kingdom might also be aligned with the principle of multiplication, where you have a small amount of God’s presence that can then provide a massive outcome. Resonance is the vibration of heaven that, as his followers, connects with that vibration and becomes the resonance on earth. We are his resonance to those we influence.

It begins with the Father, yet we play a vital role in stirring it up both on earth and in heaven. Karl Barth states, “To clasp the hands in prayer is the beginning of an uprising against the disorder of the world.”

I see the resonance of God occurring on the earth in many ways. I see it in our times as we worship our Creator. His presence is often tangible. There is a resonance of heaven that is released on the earth, and as the ambassadors of heaven, we carry this resonance with us wherever we go and to whomever we meet. We are God’s resonance. So it goes when we pray together in unison. It’s not about speaking the exact words together. Although that’s fine, it’s the heart of the issue. The resonance of prayer is in the unison of our hearts to God. When we have a focus of intent and purpose to see God’s kingdom come and his will be done, and we act in a unified manner, we become the tuning fork of God’s kingdom on earth and resonate with his glory.

Is this not what our hearts desire for the communities we live in? A Royal Invitation provides you with prayers that unify the body of Christ together. It provides the stepping stone to pray together for forty days.

A FEW IDEAS During these forty days, you won’t need to gather daily to see your prayers be effective. The centurion didn’t need Jesus to visit his home for his prayers to be effective, but I did want to offer a few ideas for you to consider.

• We found that setting a specific time of the day was important. We decided at noon each day to commit to praying that day’s prayer wherever we were. It only takes a few minutes. • We also provided a place for people to respond. This created a connection point. • The last thing we did was gather for an evening of declaration. Speaking our heart prayers in unison to the Lord.

Prayer is more than an exercise; it creates a future and hope, it releases the resonance of God on the earth as we join in heaven’s most actual desire for our city, county, and region. We encourage you to invite others to join you. Prayer is not a ministry for a few; it is our privilege to speak directly to our God, who listens and responds.
