Acerca de esta escucha

Christmas Eve, Paris, 1944
After parting ways in Carentan, Army Civil Affairs officer Lieutenant Harry Dean wasn’t sure he’d ever see French Resistance spy Christine Jarreau again. Before he transfers to his next assignment at the front lines, he’s determined to use his Christmas three-day pass to find her and ask a simple question. Did she mean it when she said she’d marry him?

Four months have passed with no word from Harry. Christine now works as a translator for American war correspondents at the Hotel Scribe. While fear of the enemy’s return hangs over the city, Allied soldiers arrive daily to experience the first Christmas in liberated Paris. Will wartime threats prevent Harry and Christine from finding their way back into each other’s hearts?

Looking for a quick historical romance? This will keep your ears perked! It's set during World War II and brings out the tragedy and the hope that comes with war. The sequel to Hi French War Bride, we get another story with Harry and Christine. This gives us a couple of months after Christine agrees to marry Harry, but war takes them separate ways. Christine picks up a job as a translator for Hotel Scribe and Harry is given a new assignment. Where does this lead the couple? Will their romance last over time and tragedy? It's well written and takes a look at what life was truly like. I enjoyed this one. Rebecca Fine continues her narration with her many accents and voices. It's a great listen!

Wonderful short story relaying the tragic circumstances during WW II. The lost of family, the secrecy and bravery of both women and men
Henry and Christine met when she was an interpreter. They told the American military they were engaged to protect themselves, however it becomes true.
Loved the story and the information given about the Lu ea of those who lived through this war
Great narrator and story. This is a wonderful author!

This is the sequel to His French War Bride: Normandy. I listened to the audiobook narrated by Rebecca Fine. There were many different voices and accents in this book that the narrator did perfectly.

In this book Christine has been working as a translator while Harry was transferred closer to the front line. Neither knows if they will ever see each other again and neither are sure of the marriage proposal and acceptance at the end of the last book will carry through to when they see each other again.

This is a pretty short story that is full of love.

A short audio of love.

Set in the Lilac Historical world, A Paris Christmas takes a look at the story of Army Civil Affairs officer Lieutenant Harry Dean and French Resistance spy Christine Jarreau. They fell in love but were soon separated by new war assignments. Harry has a three-day pass that he intends to use to find Christine, to see if she was certain when she told him she would marry him. Pamela Ferguson's books are uplifting with writing and characters that inspire me.The narration is brilliantly done by Rebecca Fine. Her dynamic voice, the pace at which she reads, the emotions she infuses into the different scenes and the tonal variations she uses for the dialogue bring the book to life.

Delightful!
