Resumen del Editor

The crows are gathering. War is coming.

For years every intelligence agency in the world has been chasing the elusive terrorist known only as The Moroccan. But when James Hicks and his clandestine group known as the University thwart a bioterror attack against New York City and capture The Moroccan, they find themselves in the crosshairs of their own intelligence community.

The CIA, NSA, DIA, and Mossad are still hunting for The Moroccan and will stop at nothing to get him. Hicks must find a way to keep the other agencies at bay while he tries to break the terrorist and uncover what else he is planning.

When he ultimately surrenders information that leads to the most wanted terrorist in the world, Hicks and his team find themselves in a strange new world where allies become enemies, enemies become allies, and the fate of the University - perhaps even the Western world - may hang in the balance.

Can Hicks and the University survive an onslaught from A Murder of Crows?

"Come Ready and Come Heavy"

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

yes, as this is turning into a nice series as long as Jonathan Davis reads it. This is #2 with Hicks character, and I found the first few chapters needed just a bit better editing as I had a little trouble staying with the story, but it indeed picked up the pace. Lots of planning in this saga, but overall a good use of listening time. I would get #3 only if J.D reads it.
Note: I do use the new 1.25x speed to get author's intent.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved sidekick partner in action, Roger. His sarcasm adds much to this adventure.

Have you listened to any of Jonathan Davis’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

He is one of the talented best as he has a full range of voices, including a good female voice that bring the characters to full life. J.D. is Hicks, but he brings out the best in the secondary characters.
See Sandra Brown's Mean Streak.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes I did and it had a good ending to the mystery which entices you to #3 if published. This story makes you wonder how good the USA spends our hard earned tax dollars!

Doing what is required, no apologies!

I read some of the other reviews prior to buying this book, and I agree with titles; techno thriller, super spy, like 24, and just taking it to the enemy without any remorse or excuses. I wonder if we need people like this in our owns systems today.
I particularly enjoyed the smart communication styles that this author uses during interrogations and information collection without exposing any relevant information to opposing forces.
This book is the 2nd in the series but is mostly a stand alone book that doesn't require a carry over of info. From book 1.
In a few places the book drags a little but the author will reward you for working your way through these very short periods.
I thought this book may introduce a new standard in spy, clandestine activity books.
If you choose to try it, I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did.

Weird

I’m the biggest spy novel fan in the world. And I loved 24 in its day. I just don't get this one at all. It’s like the same chapter has been written over and over - just switched up a bit. I'm half way through and I'm clueless as to what the point is. What the heck is the end game here? It's not even Le Carre confusing. Just weird.
I’m so sick of wasting my credits! Is there only one good editor out there in novel land?
Jonathan Davis is great though as always. Love his voice. I'll try almost anything he narrates.
