Welcome to Harmony Creek, where autumn is in the air and murder is on the page... until fiction bleeds into reality.

Bookstore owner Lydia Baxter is thrilled to host her town's first-ever "Festival of Frights." But when the festival's guest of honor, the mysterious horror novelist E.A. Slate, arrives, a series of staged pranks takes a deadly turn. A local critic is found murdered, the crime scene a perfect imitation of a chapter from Slate's most famous book.

With a killer scripting their crimes from a bestseller and a thirty-year-old town secret beginning to unravel, Lydia realizes she's the only one who can read between the lines. Along with her protective paramedic boyfriend, her gossip-loving best friend, and a firefighter who’d rather be anywhere else, Lydia must solve a puzzle buried for decades.

Can she unmask the killer before she becomes the final, tragic chapter in their twisted tale?

A Murder in Harmony Creek is the second book in the charming Printed Page Mystery series.

If you love page-turning cozy mysteries with a charming bookstore setting, a cast of quirky characters, and a puzzle that will keep you guessing until the very end, you’ll love the latest from Harmony Creek. Grab your copy and settle in for a suspenseful night!

The virtual voice that gave no distinction between characters, gave this authors book, an unfortunate candor of not knowing which character is speaking and who is who. I might pick up this book to read it off a shelf, but I certainly would never listen to it again.
