This is the story of an incredible and inspirational journey of a mother dedicated to her three children. She was determined to survive a tragic event through faith, hope, and courage. The mother was severely injured, and her devoted husband and father of her children was killed instantly. She watched her son fight for every breath he took to survive. Her daughters, only three and five years old, were traumatized.

The young girls screamed in pain and wondered where their father and brother were. The mother buried her husband, stood by strongly as her son had surgery after surgery, and went to court to see that the man who changed their lives forever was served with justice.

She tried to stay strong and focused for her children. She wasn't able to grieve the loss of her husband. She made endless medical decisions and stayed with her son in the hospital for many months. She waited to see progress from her comatose son and saw her little girls only on weekends. The girls trying to adjust emotionally and physically to their new life.

This book will make someone think about his or her choices. Making the wrong choice, like doing drugs or driving intoxicated, can have a lasting impact on your life and the lives of others. Someone else's choices caused this mother's family to go on a journey that no one should ever have to endure.

A must read for ages 15+ Heart- wrenching and inspirational

This Audio Book, narrated by the Author and Mother of a tragic accident, tells her story of what happened to her family all because someone chose to drive under the influence. Both heart-wrenching and inspirational, this book will make you think differently about life and hopefully teaches very important lessons. Lisa courageously narrates through the most beautiful and gut wrenching parts of her life. She is an exceptional mother who has devoted her life to not only caring for her disabled son and inspiring him to never give up, but also to send a message to everyone that love, faith and positive thinking can carry you through anything. Don’t take a single day for granted and never drive under the influence.
The struggles that Lisa, Kyle, Kimberly and Katie endured are unthinkable, yet together, they persevered and are all amazing people. I can’t wait to read Kyle’s book.

Beautiful

I just cannot believe how life canged so much for the Brodeur family! Their family is so helpful, caring and loving. They are a strong family for sure. I feel so bad for Kyle that he lost his love for sports as a little boy and how his life has changed. I did get to meet Kyle and his mom a few years ago when I was working on his wheelchair. He is such a handsome and loving man and his mom is such a beautiful and courageous women. They have gone through tough times and all seem to stay strong. Mom did a very good job telling their story and it made me realize how much life can change in an instant. I am looking forward to hearing the story that Kyle is writing. Thank you for sharing this story

inspiring, encouraging and heartfelt

This audiobook is incredible. Having it read by Lisa, really brings a personal connection like no other. Such a tragic story so very well told, and through all the tragedy and struggles, this family pulled together and is doing great things with education and advocating. It says in the title through faith, hope and courage, that could be felt all throughout the story. This story has so many emotions, and I cried, was angry, laughed and felt encouraged. Kyle is such an inspiration, but so are Lisa and his sisters. I don't know the family personally, but feel incredibly moved and grateful that they chose to turn their personal tragedy into doing so much good. This book needs to be in the hands of so many. It is very inspiring, and eye opening. In my opinion, a must read to understand how one's choices can ultimately affect others.
