A gripping story

Very well written with a nice rhythm. While you me could guess the ultimate outcome midway through the story, it was still very enjoyable.

Mystery, Crime, Drama, Romance

This is the 3rd in a series. I loved 1 & 2 and couldn't wait to listen to this one. I am legally blind and love the audio books. My only problem with this one was I would find myself stopping what I was doing to listen. The story draws you in to the many plots going on with the series. I will definitely be getting the 4th book

Great read

Another great story by Kendra Elliot. Haven’t read one yet that I haven’t enjoyed. I look forward to the next one in the series.

Holds you Interest

From start to finish keeps your attention. You grow close to the main characters. Well written.

Lots of mystery, action, very intense suspense,...

...and a bit of romance. Author Kendra Elliot has another big winner in her Mercy Kilpatrick series. Oh, there is also the great narration.

Solid series

Well done police procedural series with with interesting characters. Mystery-romance. Background in Oregon with preppers.

Narration Was Ok

I thought the last several chapters of this book were the best. They were the most suspenseful part of the book.

I wasn't expecting the mild supernatural, paranormal, etc. aspect of the book. I am not quite sure what to call it as it involved witches and spells.

The killer wasn't completely surprising, but some of the secrets that came to light were enlightening as to the motive.

I listened to the audiobook. The narration was ok. There were a couple of times when I had to rewind because the voice of the narrator lulled me into a space where I stopped paying attention.

Love is Growing. Love is Healing. Love creates

Love creates family out of those who are not kin. Neighbors help each other, keep each others secrets and encourage growth within a true community. Adultery vs clean relationship. Wicca serving created things vs serving Creator. Even Cain and Abel style relationships. Definitely worth the read

With each Kendra Elliot book I read/listen, I get more and more hooked with her storytelling. With Mercy (FBI)and Truman (City Police Chief) on the case, the criminals only think they have a chance. Kendra develops all our characters interweaving them throughout her exciting tale.
She gets outstanding assistance from her vocal star, Teri Schnaubelt!
I highly recommend this outstanding book!!!
