Colette Gunderson loved living at Sadie's Boarding House with the exception of one thing...she loved animals and Sadie wouldn't allow her to have a dog or a cat. Now that Marcie has moved out and gotten married, Colette finds herself lonely and left out when it comes to the two new girls who have moved into Sadie's home. She decides to get Sadie to help her find a husband and hopes she'll be as happy as her previous roommate.

Don Weldon is a veterinarian and has opened a new clinic in Panguitch, Utah. His veterinarian assistant is getting married and moving to a new state which leaves him in a bind. He hasn't taken time for dating due to putting his career first and decides now would be a good time to place an ad for a mail order bride who could also help him with his business.
