Loved it!!!

I really enjoyed this book. I listened to the audio. James Joseph did an incredible job bringing Jasper and AJ to life. I enjoyed the story, small town life, loved everything. It was the perfect palate cleanser and I will definitely listen again.

Good read

I liked to see the chages in Jasper. He became a changed man with changed values because of love. I liked the conclusion. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest opinion. The narrator did a great job bringing the characters and story to life. I recommend this book.

Just what my heart and mind needed

I received an Audio version for free and promised an honest opinion.
Was this book perfect? No. Was it a perfect read for me when I needed it? YES.
The story of AJ and Jasper is sweet and spicy at the beginning. AJ is such a positive character from the start and Jasper and his "standards" is so typical "big city lawyer" but they click, they do work. They are what they never knew they needed for each other. And when the hurt comes we really feel the pain, on both sides. I liked that Jasper understood he couldn't just say sorry and everything would be as it was before, he knew he had to work hard.
I would prefer that some things were shown and not told, but hey, it didn't spoiled my listening. And, well, I'm just a greedy reader, always wanting more from the story.
Now let's go to the Audio version, because that was a perfect listening. James Joseph is a completely new narrator for me, but wow, he is good. All the accents he used and voice gradation, I always knew who was speaking.
So, yes. This book was a very pleasant story, I will come back to it for sure just because I enjoyed all the characters. I hope that the writers, who are also very knew to me, will continue they journey with writing. I will definitely want to read more of their book babies.

James Joseph narrating is the cherry on top!

True love, a bit of angst, and a hero!

One might say that sounds like the outline of so many other stories, but not so with this one! Maggie Goodwin and Tessa Lockwood wrote a love story and a fight for redemption.

Jasper’s personal trial of his own redemption in his own mind as well as for AJ’s sake was perfect!

I don’t want to give any more away, but I highly recommend this book, and like I said earlier, James Joseph is the cherry on top!! End of!!!

Amazing debut story!

I don’t know how to start this review. This story was so good. I’m usually not a fan of insta love, but this is a great example of how if you take the time to write well rounded characters, it works. AJ is young, happy, charismatic character that is was hard not to smile I got to know him. Jasper is a grump but AJ brings out the best in him which is why this insta love works. The chemistry between the two is delicious!

The audio performance by James Joseph is outstanding! He told and performed the story so well and added such depth to the group of support characters.

If you are on the fence, I say jump it because this book and audio are amazing and I promise you won’t regret it!!
