I am 94. I've had an extraordinary life. It's only now that I appreciate how extraordinary.

As a young man, I felt I was out there in the wild, experiencing the untouched natural world - but it was an illusion. The tragedy of our time has been happening all around us, barely noticeable from day to day - the loss of our planet's wild places, its biodiversity.

I have been witness to this decline. A Life on Our Planet contains my witness statement and my vision for the future - the story of how we came to make this, our greatest mistake, and how, if we act now, we can yet put it right.

We have the opportunity to create the perfect home for ourselves and restore the wonderful world we inherited.

All we need is the will to do so.

Hooked from start to finish

An eye-opening and thought-provoking text. Attenborough's voice is so soothing but his message powerful and shocking. There's hope, thankfully, if we act now!

Fantastic book. What a legend of a man. Beautiful voice. Easy to listen to over and over Bless him

Masterpiece

Sir David presents an eloquent and well-researched narrative of the status quo of our beloved planet. He gives a balanced view of the risks we face and the solutions that are available and that are still needed for humanity and nature to live in harmony. The book is much more detailed than the movie. It is a must read. I also loved that he narrated the book himself, with his familiar and soothing British accent.

Advierte, genera miedo y hace un llamado a la acción. Soy de Costa Rica y habla positivo sobre nuestra politica proambiente y de lo mucho que nos falta en otras esferas para llegar a ser un país ejemplar. Su conclusión es fenomenal, ofreciendo soluciones a nuestras distintas acciones contemporáneas.

Outstanding

This will be a book I recommend everyone to read, and i will read repeatedly.

Essential reading

This is a well expressed review of the circumstance that we find ourselves on Earth. It offers viable solutions and is ably expressed in the words and voice of the inimitable David Attenborough
