"This book captivated me. What a sassy, witty, delicious tale. Kitty Talbot is a fabulous, fearless heroine." (Sophie Kinsella, The Party Crasher)
"A thoroughly modern heroine with wit, style and energy…a formidable Austentacious talent." (Janice Hallett, The Appeal)
"Plucky, witty and bright, with one dainty slipper poised in the present and another one firmly rooted in the past. Readers of Jane Austen and fans of Bridgeton will swoon." (Nita Prose, author of The Maid)

I will listen to anything Eleanor Tomlinson narrates
The story was at once nice and kind of meh. I think this might have been because the pacing felt off - it dragged in certain parts and rushed in others. I also found it annoying how much the perspective shifted around so much. Or maybe perspective is not the right word, because they didn’t really seem to be narrators, but the person whose thoughts we get to look into.
The narrator was brilliant and the main reason this book overall felt like a four star book to me. Every time I come across books narrated by her I always love them, she just seems to consistently “get” the characters.
