This book derives its title from the image of a watershed, of a ridge of land separating two adjacent river systems. The author connects this with the watershed at Striding Edge in the English Lake District, and with the experience of forgiveness and new life which can accompany repentance. This personal introduction to the Sacrament of Reconciliation, written from an Anglican perspective, gives a response to the ‘why’ of going to Confession and to the ‘how’ of setting about it.

Christine North is a graduate of Reading University. She spent some years in Zambia with her husband, and their three daughters were born there.
