Ufa is going crazy. The new capital of the legitimate government of Russia, once a trading post in the far east, is now a fast-growing boom town. Can Vasilii track down the killer? Luckily for him, he has the assistance of another bargirl named Miroslava, who has a unique way of seeing the world. Together they might figure out who did what to whom and who was responsible for the crime.

a great story. based on the 1632 universe the unlikely tale of a bargirl detective in the Tzar's parallel Russia. humorous and self aware of detective tropes the novel was enjoyable. the virtual voice narration is better than ancient text to speech, but it is still a dismal replacement for a red blooded professional which make audiobooks enjoyable. I wish it was human narrated.

Virtual Voice has NOT arrived

Virtual Voice is undoubtedly less expensive, but give us George Guidall! He knows how to pronounce 1636 and AK 47 consistently, plus actually reads well.
