The writer was far too busy injecting his own biased brainwashed perspectives vs just telling the story...also called 'judgement". The narrator really drove this view home, perfect accompaniment to these views...

Has A History of the Roman Republic turned you off from other books in this genre?
No, I just need to scope such broad histories a little better.
Would you be willing to try another one of Charlton Griffin’s performances?
No, he's awful.The narrator is so over-the-top, and is phrasing is so nonsensical, that I had trouble following the content of the book.
