Captivating

Audible was frustrating. The Author and Narrator were superb! I was so frustrated with the sample Audible provided vs. the actual narration of the story. Audible needs to change their samples to include actual parts of the book. When I listen to the sample, I’m not only listening to the story but the actual narrator. I’m glad I continued with the story because it was beautifully read and written. I was frustrated with the American accent at the beginning and almost didn’t listen to the rest of the story. When the setting is in England, I expect English accents not American. The narration part of the story is indeed in the American accent but the speaking parts are English accents. I was really impressed with the narration. Yes, there were times when some parts didn’t sound quite right but it didn’t deter from the wonderful story. It was interesting, compelling, and captivating through the slow reveal of the truth in the misunderstanding. Through the last part of this story, I couldn’t stop crying but I know a big reason was just a recent personal connection. I stayed up all night to finish the book! I enjoyed this book

I listened to this one on the back of another romance novel and I found that the names got mixed up. Perhaps it was because of the performance of Aubrey Warner, whom I really enjoy. But I need a break for awhile because so many of them are the same.

Decent proper romance

I liked the story, the performance was fine, but I didn’t feel a major draw to finish the story. It just didn’t capture me and I thought I could stop listening at any moment and be fine.

Wonderful Story!

I really enjoyed this book! I had the pleasure of reading this book years ago in it's beta phase, and it has only improved as it was refined and I like it even more now.

I love the characters probably most of all. They are so real with very relatable flaws, and very satisfying growth.

I listened to more than half the book on audible and can really recommend the narrator. She did a great job creating distinct voices and infusing personality into the characters.

I enjoyed it thoroughly. this is the 2nd of her books I have read and I look forward to the next.
