To free him, she had to go back in time

AbbyVan Hooven believes she is going insane. Things in her apartment are always moved. She can’t taste, she can’t think, she can’t feel. Thinking what she really needs is a change of scenery, she finds a B&B and a blank canvas. She starts painting a man, and as she uncovers him with oil paints and brush strokes, she comes to believe that this figure is the mysterious lover who visits her at night and brings her pleasure.

Seeking answers, Abby finds herself back in time, at the same bed and breakfast, this time under construction. It’s there she meets Rafe, the Innkeeper, the man she has been painting. They fall in love, only to have to confront a wizard, a witch and a dragon. With help from creatures of faerie, she and Rafe marry, their marriage sealed with dragon gold.

Before they can find happiness, both the witch and the wizard need to be dealt with.

what is up with the British AI narrator?

This story takes place in the US - it specifically names Manhattan, Philadelphia, and other eastern coast locations - so why the AI narrator has a British accent is beyond me.....
While the story flips between the late 1800's and present day - I found some of the story droned on.... connections... IMO could have moved along faster with character building and skipped over many of the mental health concerns.
This 10.5 hour story, IMO could have been better delivered in 6-7 hours
