By a stroke of luck, James’ life as a landowner and former slave is just beginning - little does he know he is granted the love of his life as well.

Born in the eighteenth century, James Freeman is a black slave and an honorable man. When James saves a British General, Edward Byron, during the American Revolution, he is forever indebted to him - granting James new opportunities as a free man.

Victoria Byron is the most beautiful in the county and the most eligible debutante of the season thanks to her wealthy father, the Duke of Greenville, Lord Bryon. In an unexpected turn of events her father promises her hand in marriage to a black slave and gifts him a large portion of land for his heroic acts in the war. Victoria is outraged and believes her prospects to be ruined. Her courtship to James turns out to be more promising than expected and their chemistry is undeniable.

Will James and Victoria have the happily ever after they always dreamed of?

The opening scene wasn’t bad. The rest was just plain silly.

The general silliness was enhanced by many anachronistic phases such as characters “hanging out“ or experiencing “the ultimate high“.
