And it almost worked, except for one bad shot. The story of Jennifer Pan is one of all-consuming love and devious betrayal that led to a cold-hearted plan hatched by a group of youths who thought they could pull off the perfect crime.

Sad story

Very repetitious, covering again and again what the author had to say about the background and nurturing that the author believed led to the murder--and of course, certainly were part of it, but even so, I had to push myself to finish the last few chapters... no criticism of the narration.

Great depiction of a unfortunate circumstance

The author gave grace to a difficult and complex tragedy. Well done and a worth while listen.

Factual but interesting

I appreciate that the author was able to write the story objectively. It is often difficult for people to leave their personal opinions out of a story to prevent persuading their audience.

It was quite emotional listening to this story I feel for the parents and the children, was a very interesting read.

I really enjoyed this book. I feel it is an honest and objective telling of this story. it is simply tragic but is a good book to listen to.

A daughter’s deadly deception

This is a very sad story. I cannot believe a daughter can plot the murder of her parents. I recommend this book, it’s engaging and a lot of curiosity as-to how can someone plan a love ones demice. Very disturbing and mind boggling story.

The crime jnself was unimaginable

There was no mystery, just a selfish lying daughter. This should’ve been a Dateline episode rather than a book. It dragged on and on.

Good Story - Odd Formating

This really is a good true crime story. I just didn't care for the way the case was presented. I feel like this is a 4 hours story that's been stretched into 12 hours. Narration is serviceable.

Not a captivating story. I listened half way and couldn’t finish. I wish I could return it for my credit back.

Boring

Too many stories within the main story. Backstory for every single person involved that I didn’t care for. Very boring. I couldn’t finish this.
