wonderful and bitter-sweet

Loved the plot, the characters and the voice actors...it help to recreate in my mind the story. it saddens me that the backdrop of this book is based in historical information. One thinks of the poor people and the women in that era. subjected to endure so much hardship and constriction of the societal rules.

A worth while listen, that you will not forget

I was hesitant to start this book given the historical and feminine context, but I am very glad to have chosen this story, opposed to casual listen : the characters, plot and gravity of political situation did not let my mind rest in the best way possible, and educated me on cultural themes I would probably not considered otherwise. My heart goes out to the author for not swaying from a difficult theme!
