Cute story

I have really been enjoying this series. Fun, clean rom-coms that had me laughing several times. My only complaint is the narrator they chose for Valentine. He’s a fantastic narrator In general, I just find it distracting when the reader sounds much older than the characters are supposed to be. The main characters are early 20’s, but I believe Rupert Degas is in his 50’s. So I can’t help but picture a 50 year old getting involved with a 20 year old. 🤷‍♀️

I really enjoyed this one!! Great characters, engaging and interesting story, and near perfect narration. I thought this would be a 5 star read, but the last 15% (the ending) was a little anticlimactic.

One of My Favorites!

I loved every aspect of this performance. At first I didn’t like the voice of Rebecca’s character but it wasn’t long until I realized it was perfect for her! Valentine’s voice was exactly right for his character. I would enjoy listening to the narrators in more novels.
The story was sweet and fun. I’ve read it a few times and listened to it several times. It is a great mood booster!

Absolutely delightful! So much humor, sibling support, redemption of old hurts, and a sweet new connection, and a dash of buns and chocolate! I was transported!

I chose this rating because it was such an enjoyable read. The reader did a great job. I’ve read several books by Martha Keyes, and she never disappoints.

Absolute perfection!

I love this book!!! Absolutely hilarious and so so good. I normally do not care for rake MMCs, but if ever a redemption story was needed, it’s Valentine’s. He had my complete support, and my heart swelled with pride watching him turn from all his ‘rakery’… And I can’t believe how much I loved Rebecca’s character. By all rights, a character of her naivety should be annoying and eye-rolling, but she may be the most adorable and lovable FMC I’ve ever encountered. Having been raised by her recluse grandfather, she has almost no exposure to the outside world, just a charming optimism and a great deal of curiosity. Her relationship with Valentine is priceless… and did I mention hilarious? 😂

On top of an amazing story, the narrators for the audiobook are beyond exceptional. Just perfection.

I cannot recommend this book enough!

Content:
There is no foul language or violence. There are references to mistresses and past womanizing, but nothing detailed and nothing during the current storyline. The romance is limited to lightly descriptive kissing. There is no mention of faith or God.

The two different voices

I enjoyed hearing a female voice to the female part, and the male voice doing the male part I also enjoyed the opportunity to use my imagination concerning the character traits and not have them overly described. It was a very entertaining read.
