f you only read one Christmas story this season make it "The Redemption of Jacob Marley" Jacob Marley played a much more important role in Scrooge's life than Charles Dixons told us. Perhaps the reason that Dickens omitted and changed so much was his dire financial situation. He was in desperate need of money and rushed to finish his book, "A Christmas Carol". As such, he left out much of the true story and changed other aspects of it. For instance, he never told anyone that the original story came from Jacob Marley himself. And no, Jacob did not tell him his story before he died.
