A Child's Guide to Prayer is a prayer audiobook for Orthodox Christian children aged five to 10 who are just developing a habit of prayer. The selection includes morning and evening prayers, prayers during the day, at mealtimes, for family and friends, and prayers of and to the saints—along with psalms to pray and prayers that have to do with communion and confession.
All the prayers were carefully selected by priests and youth workers to ensure their age-appropriateness. The guide also includes brief instructions on how to pray, why we pray, and a list of different ways to pray.

Jacob of Serug was born at Curtem on the Euphrates, ca. 451. Very little is known of his life. He probably studied at the school of Edessa. He became a monk and priest. Early in life, he began writing, and is thought to have composed more than 700 homilies. Jacob, "flute of the Holy Spirit and harp of the faithful church," has a great love of the Mother of God. In this volume, four homilies have been chosen from the Syriac texts.
