Resumen del Editor

Upon entering prison, the first words on Nrini's lips are, "I would like to see Ruben Xavito." In fact, they are her first words over the course of a trial that ended with her life sentence. Suddenly, Ruben, hungry for the untold story behind Nrini's crime, finds himself in Sawari Maximum Prison. He assumes he will find the familiar tale of her crime whose terrible nature had the town rejoicing once the life sentence verdict was read. But what Ruben finds, as he listens to Nrini, is something much more terrifying than Nrini's crime.

Wow! Impossible!!!

This author wrote a full complete story in an impossibility short time! I was amazed! The story had meat and it kept me riveted from start to finish. While this really isn't my genre, I was impressed with the tale and the telling of it. I will look for more from Victor Alao. Good job narrating from Robert Ricotta.

wow

I didn't know what to think of this book going in. The thought of killing one's own children is repulsive. The author did a fantastic job writing the story with enough depth to pull one in. The narrator did a fantastic performance and I liked hearing the story from Ruben's perspective. This book is not a cliffhanger as one might suppose based on the length. I voluntarily reviewed this review copy audiobook.

Captivating

This audiobook, though short, had me sucking in from the first minute. I didn't know what to expect, most short stories like this are underdeveloped and leave you wanting. Not the case with this 45 minute treasure. From the beginning, Victor Alao has you embedded in the life of reporter Ruben Xavito. The story that he tells you is mortifying, leaving you disgusted by events. Then as time goes on, and you get to know the victims and the accused, you begin to question what is going on. Is there a guilty party? What to do if there isn't? What would you do if it was you in the position of the "guilty"? There are so many emotions and thoughts that went through me in such a short time, proving how good this short really is. Well worth the listen, and will definitely look for more of his writing.

Robert Ricotta reads this story from Ruben's point of view. His voice is perfect for that of a reporter, very robust and matter of fact. He is the perfect performer for this and definitely kept my attention!

Wow!

This is a very well done short story. What a little gem. It caught me right away. The writing and narration is really good. The whole time I was worried that it was too short to really be complete. Was it a cliffhanger? Was it going to be rushed? NO to both. This was a really complete story, beautifully done. It grabs you from the start and holds you until the very end! Full of suspense at just wanting to know, a little creepy, but not too much. And, lot's of mystery. This is my first time with this author and narrator. And, I'm hoping to find more!
