This is a MUST LISTEN to book! Ginger and Cal 😘

This was another wonderful Coffee Loft Series book! I loved Ginger and Cal. Ginger owns the Coffee Loft and she always people to bring their dogs on the patio of her coffee shop. Cal is her almost daily customer and he is always accompanied by a dog or dogs because he fosters them for a local shelter. Daisy asks Cal for help with and in return he asks her to go to a gala for the shelter he helps out. They slowly start getting to know each other more and the story really begins. I loved this book because you get to see them grow but you also get to hear about dogs and her cat. I love animals so I always enjoy books when they are involved. This book had me smiling and kept me entertained. I would definitely recommend this book.

Edited Oct 17, 2025 - I listened to the Audiobook and OMG this was AMAZING! Emma Faye was the narrator and she did a FABULOUS job telling this story. I was drawn in from he beginning and I didn't want to stop listening. I loved reading this book last year but listening to it was even better! I had a BLAST spending time with Ginger and Cal again. These two were made for each other and I loved how there story came together. Cal had me swooning so much in the end it was insane! He is just the sweetest and you can't help but love all the animals they help at the shelter. This book will warm and melt you heart! If you want a feel good story that will have you laughing, swooning, smiling like crazy, make your heart full of joy and leave you with a wonderful ending then do yourself a favor and listen to this audiobook. I HIGHLY recommend it!

Cute Heartfelt Romance

This was a cute heartfelt romance. I loved the setting in a coffee shop and the interactions of the main characters. This was a fun listen and there were cute dogs in it too so what's not to love! I loved the reviews of the coffee shop at the beginning of every chapter and the dual perspective! Cute story and cute characters!

Cute romance with lots of pets

I've read this book before but I just listened to the audiobook. It was fun to hear the story again and the narrator did a good job. Below is my original review after reading the book but I think I preferred listening to it. The narration added to the story so positively. Thoroughly enjoyable way to spend my evening.

I thought this was a fun story. I particularly admired the volunteer services rendered. Most people can find a way to help others but their thing is going to be different than someone else's might and that is great.
Cal was extremely patient in biding his time hoping that Ginger would someday see him as more than a customer. She had some serious life scars to deal with and overcome but he didn't push her and gave her space to figure things out as needed. I liked both characters.
Here is my one problem. I don't dislike dogs though I consider myself to be a cat person as did Ginger, but the whole licking faces thing is just too gross for me. I cringed each time I read it. Had I been Ginger, I would have expected Cal to take control of the dog to stop the licking. There. I said it. :)
This is a sweet story. I enjoyed reading it. I enjoyed the romance and the animals. Except for the face licking of course. ha ha.

No sex, language or violence

Such a cute love story

I really loved this book. It was such a cozy little romantic read. I loved how ginger the main character eventually was able to see how amazing Cal is and how she eventually opened up her heart to not only him but also opened up her heart to dogs as well thanks to Cal's huge heart for rescue dogs. the audible narrator Emma was fantastic and made it really easy to listen to and follow along with by just slightly changing her vocals to follow who was who. 5 stars!

Coffee, Dogs, & Romance!

This is the perfect combination of some of my favorite things - coffee, dogs, and romance! Cal and Ginger’s love story is so heartwarming. Cal is a business professional with a passion for helping the local dog shelter and a definite soft spot for the local Coffee Loft owner. While it seems like Ginger is the grumpy owner who thinks Cal is just an attention seeker, we soon find out that she is just holding onto some pain from her past. She is quick to admit she is wrong and slowly begins to open her heart. I highly recommend this sweet, clean romance that will make you smile and will also melt your heart!
