another cute story

from what I saw, this is the 2nd book in a series, but it was completely unrelated to the last one I listened to. this was an opposites attract, and it felt for the most part realistic. The problems they had to overcome were normal people problems, so even though it's a billionaire book, it felt relatable. it was also less preachy than some of the other books by this author. which I appreciated as a not religious person. I've been reading/ listening to more and more clean books because usually the stories are better since the author doesn't rely on sex to hold the readers attention.

I've listened to books by this narator before. I remember before, not being thrilled with his female voice, but this one felt like he wasn't trying as hard to sound like a woman, but just softened his natural voice enough just to differentiate the 2 characters. it worked much better for me! his normal speaking voice is awesome. very comanding.

It was hard to put it down!

I enjoyed the storyline and the fact that it's clean. so glad that you made this a full-length novel instead of a short novella. I very much enjoyed the inspirational part.

Another great book

Some people think money is everything, but when you find your true love you will give up everything for that person. The narration was wonderful

Lovely story

Sweet romantic story of two couples falling in love. Love how after Brent knew what he wanted he let nothing stand in his way of getting it. Sam was a much harder nut to crack. Her past relationships made her very cautious. It was sometimes frustrating the way she dealt with Brent. But, as with a small town, with the help of some meddling friends it all worked out in the end. This story was about dealing with loss, finding yourself, and your faith in God. If this sounds like something you'll like then get this book. The narrator did a good job bringing the characters to life. He was able to capture the whole small town feel that this story portrayed.

Sweet Romance

When Billionaire actor, Brent Mckasson's car broke down outside of Soda Spurs Texas, he didn't realize his life was going to change for the better. Brent didn't know if he should trust his precious Porsche to a woman mechanic. Sam Jenkins, a mechanic, who moved to the Small town after a bad breakup. Brent forgot how nosy and friendly a small town could be, since he grew up in one. Sam didn't want to get involved with any man ,since her previous boyfriend cheated on her. This story is about forgiveness, trust, love , Jealousy, money, trusting in God and finding faith. Can Sam still have her independence while being with Brent? Can Brent realize that being with Sam is so different, than the most women he's been with? can they both put aside their differences to make their relationship work, even when both their exes try to break them up? I love how Lorana Hoopes described the small town of Soda Spurs. The connection between the townspeople and Sam is exactly what I would expect ..Everyone knows everything. and finally their acceptance of Brent. C J Mcallister narration is excellent and brought all the characters to life. I was gifted this audio in exchange for an honest review.

An entertaining story

This audiobook was a sweet, clean contemporary romance about two individuals who meet by chance or maybe God’s hand was the guide. Neither realizing that meeting would change their lives forever.
Brent KcKasson, a very successful billionaire actor, is starting to question his profession and his life. Sam Jenkins is a young woman , owner of the only garage in the small town of Soda Spurs. She’s a relative newcomer and one who came to town after a very bad breakup.
When Brent’s fancy car breaks down, it’s Sam that comes to the rescue and when there is no room at the local inn, she once again ends up helping him by offering a room in her place.
The attraction is there but can these two individuals with different backgrounds find a common ground? Will Sam believe all she sees and hears about Brent?
The plot was engaging and the characters likable as was the narrator of this audiobook.
A story worth your time.

A wonderful story!

I loved the story of Sam & Brent! Great job on creating wonderful characters and an excellent story!! A definite must add to your TBR list and/or your must listen to list! Great narration job!

From two different worlds

The chance meeting, the different lifestyles, a perfect set up for romance? Yes. These characters grow together in a weekend and pursue relationship. The story line is captivating and full of emotions. I laughed, I was angry, I felt the depth of love. Having the option of listening was perfect for this time of year. The narrator took me a chapter to get used to, when reading I make my own voices for each character. It was a bit like watching the movie after reading a book. After a short time, the story took over and I recommend this be your next book on your listening list. Bonus it is a romance that you don't have to shut off if someone enters the room.

A good clean Romance

I enjoyed the book. I would recommend it to anybody to listen to or read. I love the storyline and how Opposites Attract and that she mingled in the relationship that they had have with God. It was realistic as to the obstacles that they needed to get around to help make the relationship work

Sweet book

This was a great book filled with ups and downs of young love. It was sweet and romantic. I really enjoyed listening to it. Thanks so much!
